Organic cotton clothing is great, but I think that organic bamboo clothing is better. Organic bamboo clothing feels as soft as cashmere, but it is eco friendly and good for the environment.
Bamboo is the fastest growing plant in the world and as long as it’s not rayon bamboo it is eco friendly. Rayon bamboo is made by chemically breaking down the bamboo. The US FTC has required all bamboo manufacturers to label the type of bamboo that their clothing is made out of. Bamboo as the cellulose source is preferable to the rayon used in other bamboo clothing.
